Well, Ungar IS Weller(Ungar was bought out by them a couple of years ago), & AFAIK, Weller's stuff is mainly available through commercial distributors(in other words, places that mainly sell to businesses) like Grainger & Carlton/Bates. I get my stuff from Grainger, since the company I work for has an account with them & they have a store in town.....

Grizzbob,
Didn't they (Weller) discontinue the Ungar Super Race Station or do you know if it's still available. The only parts I've been able to get is thru R & L hobbies, but sooner or later I'm going to need a new soldering iron. Prefer the adjustable adjustable soldering iron. Thanks

Check out Wassco
They have the Weller WTCPT for a really decent price: http://www.wassco.com/was/wtconoutstat.html
I got my WTCPT from the local electronics store last year. Paid $105 for it. I know quite a few people who have bought from Wassco and they have had good luck.

Had the Ungar for years, replaced the tip and sleeve twice sooner or later the whole thing will need to be replaced as parts dry up. Got a heating element and couple other replacement parts just in case while they were still available. Trying to get an idea so I'll have a soldering station and won't have to wait when I do need one. Thanks for all the info and links.

That is the exact model I have. 60Watt TC201T is a descent iron, and haven't had any trouble with it.
You can purchace it or get different tips and parts for it at www.mcmelectronics.com.

Ungar UTC-200 & 300 OWNERS
*NOTE TO ALL WHOM OWN OR ARE THINKING ABOUT OWNING UNGAR STATIONS AND IRONS. THERE ARE STILL STATIONS AVAILABLE ALONG WITH SEVERAL IRONS, HEATERS, AND TIPS. ALTHOUGH THEY ARE DWENDLING IN NUMBERS RAPIDLY YOU CAN STILL FIND SEVERAL. I RECENTLY JUST BOUGHT A UTC-200 AND A UTC-300 OFF OF E-BAY BEFORE I FOUND A FEW WEBSITES LISTING PARTS AND OR WHOLE UNITS "NEW" . THE MAIN URL IS FOR WWW.COOPERTOOLS.COM THEY ARE FACTORY DIRECT SELLERS OF WELLER/UNGAR AND CAN TELL YOU WHAT PARTS ARE STILL AVAILABLE. THEN THERE IS WWW.MICRO-TOOLS.COM WHO SEEM TO HAVE TIPS AND HEATERS FOR UTC-200. NOW AS FOR THE UTC-300 THERE IS ONLY A VARIETY OF 4 TIPS TO CHOOSE FROM ON WWW.ACTION-ELECTRONICS.COM AND I BELIEVE 3 TIPS FOR THE UTC-200...AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST YET MOST IMPORTANT ON WWW.KELVIN.COM YOU CAN FIND "NEW" UNGAR UTC-100/200/300 STATIONS PART#'s 820062, 820063, 820073 FROM $119.95-$139.95 I HOPE THIS WILL HELP ANY AND ALL OUT. FROM ONE PREFFERED UNGAR USER TO ANOTHER

The only on line hobby store that was still carrying Ungar parts is
R n L Hobbies. Parts for the 300 Super Race Station are in short supply. They did have parts for the 200 iron.
