What does this tx rx stuff mean?Help Steve

What does this tx and rx stuff mean when people talk about radios. And like how do some am radio run on like channel 88. And do you guys know were i can a frequency chart. Any websites? Thanks you guys

rx is short for receiver,

tx is short for transmitter.

Futaba, KO, etc all have frequency charts. check with your instruction manual that came w/your radio, or go to a local hobby shop.

I've seen X-tal used for crystal before too. But it is rarely used.
