Team Associated RePlay XD720 HD Camera System

Latest from Team Associated:

A Smaller Package

Replay XD720 features truly amazing HD video in an amazingly small package. Mimicking the already class-leading design and versatility of the Replay XD1080 camera, we’ve somehow made it even smaller.

Mount It Anywhere

Replay XD720 can be mounted nearly anywhere due to its small form factor and all-round shape. There are two mounts included with each system to get you recording quickly.

HeimLock Mount (Swivel/Tilt): Features spherical adjustment with an eccentric cam-lock for a rock-solid mount. Over 1,036,800 mounting positions with 360º lens rotation, 360º camera rotation, and 8º of tilt, not including the unlimited areas you can mount one of four included SnapTray VHB bases.

60 Frames Per Second of Magic

Capture smooth video at 60 frames per second. We've taken the most popular video setting and made it standard on the Replay XD720. You can record at 30 fps or record at 60 fps to play smooth video, at full speed, or see even more detail when you slow it down, frame-by-frame.

Enjoy the Natural View

Every Replay XD720 lens is hand-picked and fine-tuned to give your video better clarity, accurate color, all with minimal image distortion. Replay XD720 also features a removable front lens bezel to accept our ProLens 37mm Adapter for aftermarket Lens and Filter kits.

Professional Audio

Replay XD720 features a custom-designed Internal Mic for full and rich audio. You can hear details that the others can't match. Replay XD720 also has an External Audio option, so you can use the Replay XD Mic Kit or another Aux audio source for crystal-clear sound. External Audio Line-In available via Replay XD720 Mic Kit.

A Simple Touch

Switch from 60 fps to 30 fps or Internal Audio to External Audio at the flip of a switch. The Power and Record buttons require one simple touch, with specific vibration feedback and indicator lights for each command. Replay XD just set a new standard for simplicity.

Smaller and Lighter

Replay XD720 is smaller and lighter so you don't have to feel it. With its ultra-low profile and small size, Replay XD720 is perfect for weight-demanding applications.

Still Rugged and Resilient

Replay XD continues the tradition of superior craftsmanship. Replay XD720 features a high-strength aerospace aluminum body – Mil-Spec hard-anodized for extreme durability to withstand the inherent demands of video actionography.

Weather-resistance is a must when dealing with action cameras, so Replay XD720 features a double O-Ring sealed lens bezel, rear cap, and top push buttons to keep out those harsh elements.

#RP002 - MSRP $199.99

Pretty cool, but I have to disagree with their "distorted picture" argument...

Not only does the "distorted" view look perfectly fine after a minute or so, but you can tell they had to try REALLY HARD to get an imagine that made it look worse. Hairpin corner against an embankment to make it feel claustrophobic, compared with the long straightaway... The wider angle really does look better with tighter spaces.

Aside from me crying about the marketing attempt... It looks really convenient to mount and super solid. I don't like how the competitor's camera can be easily thrown off of its viewing angle in what seems like a slight head-on collision. The mount on this unit will be a big plus in that respect, even if it is a little less adjustable.

Ya, all the marketing comes directly off of the manufacturers website. I think it is rather funny when companies are so lazy that they can't even come up with a slightly altered ad for their product.

Looks like a good little camera that can be very versatile. Not cheap by any means, but none of them really are.

I wouldn't be so disturbed with the distortion, but the GoPro is rather big and cumbersome for RC use. The ReplayXD and the Contour cameras are a bit smaller and shaped better for use in RC's.

My first video with the XD720. I had to reduce the quality in order for my weak bandwidth to upload the video in less than a day or two, lol! Full quality is very good! Oh ya, turn down your speaker volume, I forgot to put the wind block on the microphone.

Yeah I can't argue with that in the slightest, the GoPro is hardly optimal for r/c use. It is great underneath the wing on a trainer airplane or in the cockpit of a giant scale, but for r/c cars it's really not very good for mounting. I also found that the button tends to get whacked when you roll over. It needs to be high enough to see out the windshield if you're putting it inside the car, and you get the whole rollover/stop-recording effects when you roll the car. It's not my favorite feature.

Video looks good on the buggy! I actually prefer the distorted view because it reduces the noticeable vibration and gives you better situational awareness. It's still not a bad field of view on this one though!
