who cares about cruising the net?...
, 10 amp charging is the norm for a cheap charger these days (my sky RC does 10 amps, 200 watts for 60 bucks..WITH a touch interface).
New chargers over 75 dollars should be capable of at least 15 amp charge rates....esp with the larger capacity and higher C rate capabilities of the newer batteries.

FASTHARRY: You are right...this would ROCK if it could use Tekin's Hotwire software and program the ESC......then I wouldn't need to lug around my laptop to the track! And You are also right.....it SHOULD go beyond 10amps......thats a bit low today.....

The first manufacturer that does this will have it locked up...Remember, you heard it here first...

How about back up a step... have a charger app that's downloadable and connects to a higher power charger but can be run from any phone. We all have phones with 3G or 4G and don't need another device. Make it disconnectable after it starts charging and beep when completed so you can take your phone with you when you go to race.

Hah. I was going there.
Another option is an Android/Linux powered charglet that you can download apps for... That would be incentive for Tekin/Castle/Speepassion/Orion/.... to write android apps to program your ESC.
Just a thought
