Axial Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Kit

Latest from Axial:

The Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon is one of those vehicles that is rarely left stock once in the hands of its owner. We understand this and have come to the table with our next offering. Our partnership with Jeep® continues with a kit version that allows you to build your Jeep® from the ground up. The Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon kit is unassembled and comes with a variety of option parts that not only look cool, but add performance and reliability as well. Suspension is one of the most important components in an offroad vehicle. Because of this, we've partnered with Icon Vehicle Dynamics to create a set of precision designed aluminum shocks to give you the performance and reliability you need. The aluminum shocks feature precision machined pistons which offer smooth performance throughout the range of travel. Made to tight tolerances, these aluminum shocks feature clear coated polished aluminum bodies, complete with aluminum faux reservoirs. The main body of the shock is threaded for quick ride height adjustments and pre-load tuning ability. Like their full size counterparts these shocks are completely rebuildable, tunable and offer consistent handling all while adding some of that Icon bling to your SCX10 chassis. The shock shafts are titanium nitride coated which makes them ultra smooth and helps prevent corrosion.

Because it's a kit, we've omitted the electronics which allows you to install your favorite radio system, steering servo and motor for a truly custom rig. During the building process you'll make decisions about; paint scheme, shock oil weight (30wt provided), spring rate choices (one combination of primary (soft) and secondary (medium) springs per shock provided), a three or four link setup (optional four link in the rear only) and installing additional hop-up parts that you may have purchased separately.

If you're looking to build your ultimate dream Jeep®, this is the kit that will allow you to do it!

I was waiting for this. This takes priority over all other r/c projects.

Very nice. Love the fact that Axial comes out with kits with a few options/upgrades tossed in.

Do think they need to come out with the SCX-2 though. Minor refresh was great, but if you have one, they are all pretty much the same. No reason to upgrade really. While I love this kit and would normally be all over it, underneath it's the same as my Honcho and cannot justify another one.

Just my 2 cents!

Now, if they had grafted on an Exo front end with some shorter arms and a Tundra, Titan, F150, etc. body, I'd be all over it.

I too am waiting for a "scale" IFS truck. I have had plans to build one for over a year, but then again I also have two SCX10 based projects on the bench right now...none of them past the 75% phase.

I have one bone stock SCX10 1.9 that is my go-to truck for trail driving...and it can handle being rolled over all day long. My dad has a more custom SCX10 1.5 rig that we prefer NOT to roll over due to some expensive doodads...and we have two custom SCX10 rigs in the works that will likely see very little "extreme" trail use...but they'll look purty.

This rig here would close the gap for me...something that looks better than my daily driver, but still reliable as heck and ready for a beating. Now I just have to figure out a way to sneak the money out of the checking account without the wife catching on.

Hmmm...any suggestions from fellow married hobbyists?
