That would explain why we haven't seen a gullwing-arm update for the b4... :-)

Cool!

There's nothing wrong with the B4 - It's STILL Champion!!….I feel that it's useless to waste time on a B5….It's just another reason for them to make another god awful crap-forward body….great…

I could not disagree more. In any competitive industry, failing to push yourself to get better means you will soon fall behind. You have to create the leading edge or prepare to be happy with 2nd place. Just ask the Williams or McLaren F1 teams...

I should also add that while some people still don't like the cab forward thing, I'm starting to enjoy them and when I see a cab-aft body I can't help but think Lodi XXX and RC10B3, as well as zapped and matched CR2400s, 3-wire forward-only ESCs, and 11-turn triples with purple brush springs. Embrace the change!

I guess from time to time people may slip to the dark side….There's nothing wrong with liking the older stuff….I'd rather have them then this new crap they keep coming up with…..Screw this change!…..If things are gonna change, it needs to be for the better…..Nothing new here has impressed me…..Just more crap for people to waste money on….oh well.

looks like the mid motor gets the gull front a-arms but my eyes could be failing me.

looking forward to reading what exactly is different on the standard B5 than what is on the B4.

I understand where you're coming from and I like the old stuff as well... I'm a bit nostalgic that way. However I still felt like the car jumped and handled fast sweepers a little differently when I switched to the cab forward body. It isn't a huge difference but it seemed to be there and I liked it. Since I'm a fan of function over form almost entirely, the cab fwd bodies have grown on me...

I tend to embrace change slowly as well but the b4 has been out quite some time now. My car is old and sloppy and I'm kinda excited about the idea of picking up a new car next winter.

Just my $0.02

-Eric

So I see the scrapped the built-in servo saver?!

I always felt built in servo savers were much better than the bolt on ones...

Are newer servos just THAT durable that you no longer need a servo saver?

I struggle to see the reason for this..

I got a pair of aluminum solid bellcranks for my buggy and haven't looked back. It's MUCH better. Tightens it all up and makes the front feel more precise. Especially if you like lots of steering.

I guess the shorter answer is Yes. A good servo that the guy who actually buys this kit for its intended purpose will be more than stout enough to hold up without a servo saver.

tower has the proper and correct rear motor chassis listed for $239.97 and the rubbish mid motor chassis listed for $259.98. mind blowing. totally mind blowing, i thought for sure they would be up over $300. mad props to AE for keeping 1/10 buggy chassis' affordable to more than just the hardcore racers! they hit the perfect price point.

that being said. iv seen some naked shots of it on another forum.
on my personal sour note. i hate the saddle packs, i hate the lack of a servo saver, and i HATE! the cockpit forward body.

idk, going to have to weigh out the options on this one. hopefully i get it figured out before they drop the factory team kit and the RTR and then discontinue the affordable team kit. and hopefully the aftermarket comes through with a proper and not ugly cockpit where it's supposed to be body by then.

Expect probably a factory team version to come out 6-12 months after the initial Team kit release, maybe about $50-60 more but coming with all the bling bits.

+1 SuburbnHooligan

I remember when $240 got you a FT B4--When i first came out….Must be inflation.

I wonder if the B4 RTR body would fit this thing. That would be the only body option for me. But then again, I wouldn't go buy more expensive batteries just to run this thing. Not worth it.
