As a racer, I have to admit that the amount of unsprung mass on the front axles looks terrifyingly inefficient.
And these cab-forward bodies are ruining the semi-trucks now too!
[Sorry I couldn't help myself. Take it for what it is guys. ]

for 2500 bucks...and a plastic cab to boot, I would have expected, if not some more detail...and least some licensing so you could make it look like a real truck brand..
To be real honest, I would have put all that work and craftsmanship into a Cat Dump....known worldwide.

HAHA to the cab forward truck. At least this one looks like it can haul it's own weight.
As for the $2500 bucks, I would figure that it would come with a better warranty than 30 days. My thinking is they know what flaws it has and can't really trust putting a better warranty on it.
All in all, it's still a nice truck for the money. Just don't expect to sell more than the one sample.

The fact that they actually put a warranty on it I find impressive. Usually you see electronics warranty but that's about it. If the warranty is on the whole thing... pretty cool deal really. If you actually use it for 30 days straight and nothing goes wrong, it's not likely it has anything legitimately defective. Besides, for a small company to have to worry about every product shipped out beyond 30 days would be pretty stressful.
Someone should go ahead and price out a Tamiya 1/14 scale rig, with an 8-channel radio and sound unit, etc. and see how much that costs. And the feature list on this thing is a little deeper such as the metal transmission parts and 4-wheel steering. It's a crapload of money, but seems about inline with what I would expect to dump into a Tamiya semi.
Compare to a B4.2 kit that someone like me would reasonably set up for racing every weekend during the winter: $300 kit, $320 Tekin RS Pro, $319.99 Spektrum radio system, $100 LiPo battery, $100 transponder, $100 steering servo, $100 charger ... $1339.99 for a 2wd, plastic, mass-produced car not including build time or any support equipment beyond the minimum required to run the thing on a test drive. $2600 doesn't sound too awful to me in that comparison!
Besides, it's got a freaking hydraulic pump!! You know you want a hydraulic pump...

They were XB versions sold for $1k. I would think that I could add a Gardentrucking.com dump kit and box for a whole lot less than $1.5k.

Now that's a good deal. But does it have a Hydraulic Pump??
I'm not convinced that's really an apples to apples comparison anyway. The Tamiya kits are amazing. Nobody will argue that who isn't a little off their rocker. But Tamiya has a well-established manufacturing facility for RTRs and has been around forever. They're also probably employing about as many workers as some small full-size auto makers. Of course they'll be able to beat a very small, new, company on price per unit.
Every Tamiya I've seen is generally a 4-channel unit anyway. So when you add the dump, do you have to buy a radio as well?
I'm just saying... It's not really all that far out there in terms of price if you break it down...
lol fastharry.

The mini hydraulics are very very expensive!!! that is a good chunk of the pricetag by itself.

Let me guess, youre from the us?
The truck is an MAN, and just about the most common in europe for semi-offroad use.
That been said, my god, a cat truck would be cool!
