Team Futaba drivers didn’t just compete at this year’s TrakPower ChiTown Shootout — they dominated it. Held at Leisure Hours Raceway in Joliet, Illinois, the ChiTown Shootout gave Mike “Zippy” Ziolkowski, Carson Wernimont and Colton Kiefer great opportunities to demonstrate what driving talent and Futaba equipment could do. In the 1/10 scale Stock Buggy 17.5 Class, Ziolkowski set the tone by TQing, and went on to win the A Main after an epic 6-minute battle between the leaders. Factory Futaba Team Driver Carson Wernimont contributed twice, with a first-place finish in Modified Stadium Truck and a solid second in Modified 2WD Buggy. In 1/8 scale E-Buggy, Kiefer used his 4PKS to TQ and win the class. Futaba congratulates the winners above, as well as all team drivers who qualified for A Mains.
