ok first i have a T3 RTR i just put in a speed gem 12T with a HFX esc (says it can take a 10T)

is it normal for the battery and esc to get so hot u cant hardly hold it ? if not what could this be from and how do i fix it?
if this was my GT i could understand the heat

as for hop-ups i have none but the motor and esc so any ideas on what i should get would be a big help ( low-midd budget )

also what gear ratio should i use with what i have to be run on a small track with hard clay no dust
and would it be a differant ratio setup for home play mostly for dirt and grass sometimes street when i feel like putting on the street tires

run a 14 tooth pinion for this motor. the mod motors are already fast and need the lower gear ratio so they dont blow up lol. have ne more ?'s

If you didn't change your pinion when you changed your motor then that's why everything is overheating. The ratio that comes with the kits are usually for stock motors.

i bet what makes it so hot is resistance. I had tamiya's and my bat., ESC, and motor all got hot or warm and i got one pack through deans ultra plug and none of them got hot at all. I am not saying that is not the only problem. I think you have you motor overgeared too. I don't know what to gear it to i am not good at that. sorry:(

A way to tell is to touch your connectors and see if they are hot. If so that is a problem and change them imediatly or they will probabully get stuck together. Not pretty.
