i have a b3 buggy basic kit. the problem is my mod motors get very hot, very quickly (aprox.1min). my car has a novak super rooster esc which apparently has no mod motor turn limmit. the motor i'd like to run is an Orion chrome mod 9x3 yet it becomes extremly hot very quickly. i also try Trinity Speed Gems2 14x2, and Speed Gems2 13x3. i have an 87 spur in the car now, and the 81 spur that came with the kit. i have also tried pinions from 15 to 21. its probably a gearing problem, but i have no idea what i am doing, (trying to learn). is there any motor turn/spur/pinion chart i could find, or is it possible the heat problem is comming from some where else? my most graditude to anyone who could help with my problem. Thank you.

Dorkface.

first remove the motor from the car and roll the car on the ground. it should roll without any resistance. depending on how old the car is, you may need a transmission rebuild. same with the motor, but it all depends on how old everything is. also make sure your wheel nuts are not overtightened and that the wheels spin freely. im not too sure on gearing but go with the 81 spur and the 15 pinion. if it still does it then i dont know what is up. also make sure you have proper gear mesh and they are not mashed up against each other. if this doesnt help, then oh well, thats everything i know that would cause over heating. hope this helps.
