trying to get a bit more low end or decrease the amount of time it takes for the motor to spool up. so i was wondering, how would i want to adjust the timing and springs to get the needed results. or if that would even have an effect.

Stiffer springs will give more torque & faster spool up. I would think that less timing advance would give more toque at a lower RPM, but I've not messed with it myself. Another big factor is the batts resistance. Batts with low IR numbers will have more punch. Sometimes that's the biggest factor.

I don't know all the particular's but most all handwound motor's are timed from the factory at optimum performance/// advancing the timing will incress rpm and lower tork// I would't suggest reducing the timing on any motor from what the manufacture set it /// personally unless the motor is setting at -0- timing I wouldn't mess with it /// I know trinity speed gem's are -0- timed and seam to work better with 10to15deg advance , but thats my opinion on my motor's!!!!
