Oak Mountain state Park, Also Shelby County Raceway in Harpersville.

when you say oak mountain track.. you mean the bmx track? or is there another one?

Not at the BMX track. The track is located about 4 miles from the main gate. From the main gate(I-65) side go toward the campgrounds and look for a sign on the right side of the road. At the bottom of the sign reads rc track tur Right and follow it all the way to the end and the track is straight ahead.

Is it owned by the state or not?
Is it a club?

The track is owned by one person ( I forgot his name) who is ok, hebuilt it up and did a nice job with it. The state of Alabama lets him use this land in return for gate admission. no carge to practice yet. The track itself doesnot have any jumps yet.

Yeah, I went up there this afternoon.. I was kinda of turned off because it had no jumps.. :/ but I did have fun on the little pile of dirt there off to the side :)

However, it was too wet and too much water for me to get on the track.

It's a nice track and a really nice grandstand, but no jumps :/

I only live about 10mins from there, so maybe he will put some jumps in it soon :) I'll be there every weekend then!

This weekend Im gonna go down to 280hwy and check that one out.

Oh yeah, Oak Mountains is Mathew Gordan. Shelby Counts r/c track is formally know as Dixieland flea Market. The track is located in the front. Ask for Joe or Sue Flanigan.
From Harpersville go SR-25, Harpersville, AL 35078 on SR-25 (South) 5.4 mi
Summary: 5.4 miles (9 minutes)
