T3, xxxt, ultima st, if you wan't to fly and land on all 4, it has to be one of these.

Two words Project Jump Truck, Well I guess that is three isn't it. Anyway take a look at the March 1999 Issue and in there there is an artical writen by Greg Vogel, about his Stampede that he turned into a jump truck. Take a look I think you will be pleased.

I would say rustler over stampeed.. The elec. rustler is lighter so it can go faster.. I havent had anythign break yet ethier. If you were gonna pick nitro, then go stampeed...

Nothing beats a Stampede for flat landings. if you have a landing "ramp" then either one will be cool. On flat landings my Pede sometimes lands bad with the nose digging in, so a Rustler would probably flip

The XXX-T is a little better than the XXX.

I jump my XXX-T over a 15ft thriple and land with ease

Any of the stadium trucks would make a better jump truck than any of the monster trucks, there center of gravity is much lower espically the xxxt, trucks like the stampede, t-max and others are not as easy to land smoothly, they have high centers of gravity. there is a t-max class where i race and the t-max looks like alot of fun, but they work turnmarshals pretty hard cause they have more then there share of bad landings and roll overs, after they are done you can see all the craters in the track where they land, the stampede is better but even a rustler would be a better jump truck than that because it has a lower center of gravity and handles alot better and is faster, given equal equipment.

The Reason your pede's nose digs in the ground because you need to level out the throttle. By going reverse in the air it will level out your car so it does not plant the front in the ground.

Any off-road truck will jump well, but I say Stampede all the way! Just ask Greg Vogal. Remember that photo that appeared in RCCA of the Stampede flying 25 feet over the BMX racers head. I have several trucks and none jump (and land) better than my Stampede. I must admit that I've made quite a few mods on my 'pede, but it's the perfect platform for a jump truck.

Order a past issue on rccaraction.com. I just recently ordered the october 1999 issue. It is kind of expensive though.

Stampede all the way. With the use of throttle you can straighten out the worst jumps. This thing flies.

If your truck is nosing in its because your letting off the throttle, hitting the brakes, or hitting reverse. Giving it throttle will keep the nose up. Letting off or tapping the brakes will let the nose drop.

You really dont need to do much to make it a "jump" truck. Drop in a 17t motor for speed and replace the plastic outdrive spindles to the metal ones. The plastic ones can strip out under the stresses of hard landings.
