Words of wisdom; bring a buddy 2 your track so that your stuff wont get stolen. I wass marshalling for a qual and when i get back to my pit, its gone. If I had litened to myself, I would not be missing my XX-4 WCE
right now.:( But then again, what kind of lil $hit steals someones pride and joy?

Yeah. Watch local pawn shops and keep an eye out at the track. Usually, somebody stupid enough to steal that will be back with it somewhere trying to race it or sell it for some $$$.
What a freaking low life.
When I go to the track, there's always 3-4 of us there who all are really close friends (co-workers :p) and we always watch each others' back.

might want to keep an eye on ebay too, and other rc car forums, especially smaller ones.

My friend was driving his LST 2 nitro, When some guy picked it up and ran with it. The guy had the truck under his arm. So my friend instead of trying to chase him, he just gunned the gas on the remote. The tires just shread the guys t-shirt. And the guy dropped the truck. LOL

I got it Back! the stupid thieves brought it to the lhs to replace the chassis and the whole front right arm/spindle (basically everything) that i sheared off the severla days before. and i happened to be there! I had a feeling that slamming into the concrete pit barrier happened for a reason.

Did they hack the BL system out of it or was everything still there? The LHS get a look at the punk that took it?

Horrible news! sorry to hear about that... :(

Anti theft system that I use: a Dremel and a steady hand... I engrave my initials into the main pieces (VERY LIGHTLY IN C.F. ...deeper in Plastic or Alum.) it works...(my neighbors always "borrow" stuff without my knowledge  ) whenever something goes missing, I just walk over, ask to examen their "new toy" car and point out MY initials. you'd think their parents would get it by now!

Anyway, once you initial an item, it's basically yours, because you can't sell scratched parts for much. (especially if someone tried to scratch out your initials)

Hope it NEVER happens again!

The amount of detail missing in that post of the recovery could fill the grand canyon :) . Tell us how it played out ! I can't wait for the movie. Did you just go over and "excuse me, but I'll take that back now if you're finished" or what ! amazing you got it back. good.

Just out of curiosity... How did it go down when you saw the car? Did you call them out on it or call the police or what? I wanna know how it happened :D

I would call the police. Because where i'm from anything over $500.00 is consider grand theft. and you can get a few years in jail if the judge is a bad ass.

hehe I walked calmly to the store's cashier whom i bought the car from and he walked to the back to "look" for a part. he returned sonn after with a kendo stick and we confronted the men. I "explained" ;) to them what happens when someone messes with my stuff. after, they bought me the replacements for the arm turnbuckle, spindle and that thing that holds the spindle to the a arm. then they walked quickly away from the store (have not seen them since).:D

when they first saw me they put on this stupid little grin thinking that they could beat me (2on1). then mah casheir friend comes out with the kendo stick and they turn pasty pale- almost like glue. i say look like u seen a ghost - usually id leave you a$$holes alone but you tried stealing my buggy. Now you'll be seeing ghosts and stars. so dumber tries to swing and then i bop him nose. he swings again and i grab his wrist with my left hand and and push his shoulder very forcefully. it popped. I popped it back into place but slowly, and then dumb, wanting to escape his fate, offered to replace all the broken parts and he does so. then i get my buggy back. Tae kwon do really works - everyone go book yourselves for a trial class.

I took Tae Kwon Do for something like 6 years. VERY BENEFICIAL. I reached Junior Black Belt ( one away from black belt ). Then Master Ahn moved to a further location and we wern't going to drive 10 miles every day.

Master Ahn won many olympic titles from bronze to silver to gold. He once stood on a 6 foot ladder and broke a HUGE stack of rock slabs. The slabs were something like 4 inches thick and 1 ft by 2 ft, and they were stacked from the floor to 4 ft high. But the cool part is he did it with the tip of his hand. So he hit the top of the tower of blocks with the same hand style as "heil hitler", not with with a horizontal arm (chop), but came down verticly.

It teaches you offensive, self defense. Or a way to attack your apponent while defending yourself from their "stuff".

Very cool story, I would've not only knocked them around but I would have held them there and called the police.

Judo is even better, close contact, up close and personal, using body weight to launch people around, pressure points and extreme PAIN...USMC for life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With Ebay, forums and flea markets, people resorting to stealing toy cars deserve to get their jaws CLACKED!

Check out a form called Isshin-ryu, fun stuff. Its funny to see how "mainstreamed" a lot of other forms are. ;) and agreed, GO USMC. If it hadnt been for them, Isshin-Ryu Probably wouldnt have made it to the US.

I was able to obtain my blue belt "roko kyu" with some Kenpo mixed in various places ;) Thankfully I have never had to use any of it. Hope that I never do. I tell ya though it is hard to go back to conventional martial arts after learning isshinryu. I took a self defense" course in college for fun and the instructor (a 2nd degree black belt in taekwondo) wouldn't have much to do with me after a few rounds, hehe.

LOL@taekwondo. You got to be a limber mofo for that. I am stiff as a board, so judo suited me well. That mixed with good ole NYC street fighting is very dangerous. Hit em, flip em, make em beg for mercy or grab, twist, throw, stomp. Man, this is turning into something dangerous ladies and germs lol
