I havent heard of that motor, but i use a 13t trinity speedgems in my rustler. Lots of people use a higher turn (about 17) to get more run time i guess, but i get a little more then 6 and 1/2 min. with that. Sorry i could tell you about that motor, maybe some one else can..

The guy at the shop probably is referring to Trinity's Speed Gems 2 Platinum. It is a 13 turn triple. These are pretty good motors but are using older technology. The 13 turns would give you more speed, but at the cost of run time. You will have to solder on the moter leads and capacitors when you get it. Tower Hobbies has them in stock for $27.99. If you don't want to solder a good choice is Trinity's Monsters of Touring line of motor's. They offer a good punch with a smaller price tag. Tower has a 13Tx2, 15Tx2 and 19Tx2 in stock, and has the 17Tx2 on order. All are 15.99 and come with the motor leads and capacitors pre installed. I run the MoT 17Tx2 in my RS4 MT and I like it a lot.

What do you mean 4 feet in the air is not what you meant by "off-road"?

Whats the difference between those 2 motors except for the soldering part. Could you give me the exact address to the motors at tower hobbies?

Here are the addresses to the motors
SG2 Platinum:www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p.pgm?Q=1&I=LXJX22&P=7 (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p.pgm?Q=1&I=LXJX22&P=7)
Here are the MoT motors.
13Tx2:www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p.pgm?Q=1&I=LXJS98&P=7 (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p.pgm?Q=1&I=LXJS98&P=7)
15Tx2:www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p.pgm?Q=1&I=LXJS99&P=7 (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p.pgm?Q=1&I=LXJS99&P=7)
17Tx2:www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p.pgm?Q=1&I=LXJT00&P=7 (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p.pgm?Q=1&I=LXJT00&P=7)
19Tx2:www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p.pgm?Q=1&I=LXJT01&P=7 (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p.pgm?Q=1&I=LXJT01&P=7)

The SG2 Platinum is a triple so it will have a smoother acceleration than the MoT 13Tx2. The SG2 has adjustable timing, the MoT does not. Even though the package says it does, It is a misprint. The MoT has a bushing so it will need to be lubricated every so often for maximum speed and life. The SG2 has a motor bearing which is more prone to damage from dirt in an off-road vehicle.

I know that this probably isnt common, but my monstors of touring 15t double melted on me, so you should make sure you gear it right.. Just check how hot it is after a couple of runs. (it melted when i was using it on my 4-tec..)

It is more common than it should be. Gearing is important to keeping your motor alive and kicking.
