My little brother has an hpi super nitro rs4 and I've been to the track with him a few times to watch him race. I'm thinking of getting into r/c touring car racing myself, but I don't want to have to deal with the hassles of nitro. That's why I'm looking at getting some kind of electric touring car. I'm not looking for some lame RTR that works, I want an upgradeable competitive electric car. So far I have looked at the Team Associated TC3 team, and the Losi XXX-S. From what I've read, either one of those sounds fine, but I'm not so sure about what kind of motor/esc/radio/batteries I would need to compete competitively... so can anyone give me some suggestions?
And btw... cost isn't that much of an issue. I have ~$1,000 saved up from my summer job, but I don't want to spend it all unless it would really make a difference.
Thanks,

ok if you have the cash give this a try.
team associated tc3 factory team,of team losi xxxs.
-futaba magnum junior radio
-novak dually esc
-integy indy 16x3 pro v2.5
-3-4 6cell 2400 mah nuclear power batteries
-for mod class reedy ti 10x2
-for stock class chrome stock or fantom p2k
this is pretty good if you want to get into competitive racing, but if you plan on having more than one car get a proggramable radio.

Once you start racing the sky is the limit on what you'll spend. Just keep yourself undercontrol :)
What I like...
Associated FT TC3 (or XXX-S)
Novak TC
Airtronica M8 (expensive, but only radio you'll ever need!)
Three Integy 2400 (or SMH) matched packs
P2K or MVP (both good - stick with stock for now - saves money)
What I like is a bit pricy - but remember - you get what you pay for!

well since your beginner i would go with the stock or novice class. the stock class still goes pretty quick if your geared right and your car is dialed.
-Factory Team/Team TC3
-Reedy MVP or P2K pro stock motor
-Novak TC2 ESC
-Novak XXL Receiver
-JR XR3 FM radio
this will come out to be pretty pricey but well worth it!
