I just got a tt-01 second hand but unused.
It has the TEU-101 esc in it.
Is that rx compatable with a 2215 traxxas reciever
Cant seem to program it, all it will do is flash the led and thats all i seems to do.
If I hook up the motor the esc beeps steady.
Is this a rx esc conpatability problem??????????
Or is esc junk???????????

Where are you plugging the ESC into?
Your 3-wire plug should be in channel 2, and your 2-wire plug should go in "batt"

Heres a pic i just made...

As Rccardude said, the 2 pin plug needs to go in the battery slot, and the 3 pin plug needs to go in the channel 2 slot.
Hope that helps.

The beeping is an indication that the receiver is not sending a signal to the ESC at all. Without the 2-wire plug, it won't send the signal because the receiver doesn't have power.
You could run a seperate receiver pack to try it.
Thanks for the picture Jayboy :D

No probs, just hope it helps him.
I used to have a TEU-101BK, and i remember it is the only ESC i have had with 2 plugs that go in the receiver.

Yeah it's kinda weird. Made it difficult to plug into my airtronics receiver too. Had to use an x-acto on it :(. Oh well. Mini Cooper is fun. :D

Got it second hand, did you get a manual with it? Its power by the Battery pack you use with the Tamiya battery connector, the JST(2 prong) connecter probably optional. Used only if you use a separate power pack, like a 6v humpback battery pack. Its alway tricky when adjusting Neutral, full throttle & braking on the ESC. Some ESC takes 3 second and hold the button to hold the adjustment. The manual would show it. Just be patient with it. Try again!
Good luck with it!!
If your useing airtronics RX, The TT-01 uses a futaba connector, you have to modify the plug with a hobby knife for it to fit the RX.

No, you need to plug both connectors into the receiver in order for it to work. In another thread he stated it was second hand, but he downloaded a manual from the Tamiya website.
Just make sure you follow ALL instructions carefully, and make sure everything is wired up correctly...Good Luck!

Yeah I'm guessing you didn't read everything very carefully :p
Jay and I have both had one of these things. The JST plug needs to be plugged in.
I have the airtronics receiver, and yes there was dremelling/shaving involved.
He has a traxxas receiver though. It should work. Just sounds like the RX isn't getting any power.

Well guys i just got home from work.
After i got out of work i got mad and went to the not so local hobby shop
and got a tekin no limits esc lol and got a new airtronics Blazer radio set up and installed them it works awsome.
after signing on i saw the pic Jayboy had posted and went to look at my TEU-101 esc and guess what............ the wire with 3 wires had been coiled up and wire tied so i pulled off the wire tie and what did i find?
The guy i got it from had cut the 2 wire plug off and coiled the wire up with the rest of the wires DOH.
Well i guess i have a TEU-101 esc as a spare if i have any problems with the tekin nolimits esc lol:D
Wish i had read this before i went to the not so lhs and spent more than i want to confess too lmao
Thanks guyz
