I've got two very old trinity motors. One is a psychotic reaction motor and the other is I believe a monster stock jr. Would cutting the comm and replacing the brushes and springs get them close to running like new or should I not bother?

Hey bambino,
In my opinion, you should at least try to replace the brushes and springs and cutting the comm, HOPEFULLY it'll work just like you bought it brand new <Splat>.
