Novak SS 5800 cutting out

My brushless Novak SS 5800 is cutting out. It will spurt ahead for a tick, then die, then move slow, then die. It's three years old and has been perfect until this. Any ideas? I've tried two separate battery packs.

I'm using it in a Losi Matt Francis 2 XXX-T.......................

Check your ESC for neutral, full throttle, and braking. Once reset try again. Some reason it lost the settings.

Also check your connectors, all of them. A bad battery connections is bad. A bad motor lead or sensor connection will really do bad things. I had a loose connector on one of the three leads to my Mamba Max and it would buck and kick bad and sometime not go at all. Sensored systems will act different, but still not good at all.
