I have a D4 9x3. I have gone through one set of brushes...And I have a Team Orion 11x2 that have had three sets of brushes.

The Orion is about 3 times faster than the D4. Non have been trued.

If I got the D4 trued would it be a little faster....or like new....or better than new?

It used to go about twice as fast as the Orion.

Whats wrong?

If it ain't fast, don't race IT!!!!!!!!

When motors lose performance, they need to be rebuilt. If you want your motor better than new (literally) change the brushes, springs, clean and re-oil the bearings and cut the comm (dont cut the comm with a carbite bit). If you want your D4 to last longer, get copper (hard) brushes. If you want even faster but more wear in the motor, get silver brushes. Silver brushes do wear a considerable amount faster, so if you have the money to rebuild your motor a lot more, get silver brushes. Hope I helped.

You must always push the limits. Because if you never fail, you will never succeed.

Cuss out the turn marshals because they cussed at you!!!

Crashing is an art of driving that goes bad in result in human or mechanical error.

Just cuz you get a lower turn motor that doesn't neccesarily mean faster speeds. You also needs some torque too.

What they said, and did you change gears?

But most likely, what JP said.

lower winds draw more amps. Your battery pack might not be able to handle the demand.
