Okay, my friend has been racing my 2 buggies for the last 5 weeks and now he wants to get his own. I have a B2 and an XXCR, he drives both of them really well for a beginner. One of the guys at the track is selling a B2 and an XXCR Kinwald Edition rolling chasis. Price difference is about $35. Assuming he's going to get the Futaba Magnum Junior + MRC230 ESC combo from Tower...which car would be the better choice? He's relying on my opinion(GULP!!) and I'm doing my best to research, but I can't find a deciding factor!!!

Throw it back at him. Only HE knows which is best for him. Or, you can hook him up. Get both your cars ready, and let him spend a pack on each. Which ever one makes a bigger smile is the winner.

I say get a B3 Factory Team. Two reasons: I think it's more user friendly than the Losi cars(IMHO). Second, get the Factory Team because to hop up a Sport will cost you more than just getting the FT in the first place.

He may like a Kyosho Ultima RB, after all it's a B3 and a xxx all rolled into one http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Fergy, Its even better than that!

Hey, guys, i think he is talking about the two cars that were mentioned, if his friend were buying new, i would suggest a FT B3, since he is a newbie, and associateds are strong as all sorts of stuff, but if you are talking about the 2 above cars, get the B2, because he CAN upgrade to a B3, and the parts are still around, so it is easy to pick them up, because the B2/3 are very similar.

Oh yeah, if he was buying new I would definately have said B3! But he just wants to "wet his feet" so to speak. I did what Oyster suggested, I let him drive the B2 in one qualifier and the XXCR in the next. He drove them both just as well, go figure http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif He went for the XXCR, so I picked up the B2(now I have FOUR!! WOOHOO! B3 conversion, here I come!) Thanks for the help!
