The first thing you should try is using a carbide tipped allen wrench. If you don't have one, check with local racers or the hobby shop. The cheap mild steel allen wrenches included with kits and accessories are usually have of the problem. The high-quality tools have sharper and stronger edges, so that may be all you need. You may want to try heating the CVD slightly (don't get it red, just a little warm). If all else fails, you'll need a small, high-quality EZ-out. It's a tool that aids in the extraction of broken and stripped screws.

You could try to force the pin out without loosening the grub screw. I guess you'll have to get something small like a paper clip or rod to push it out.
I haven't done this on CVDs, but I've stripped pinion gear set screws before. That was back when I was using those L-wrenches that came with the kit. I thought I was doomed, but under advice, I used a flathead screwdriver and just pryed off the pinion gear from the motor. It was easier than I thought it would be.
The CVDs will defintely be a bit tougher to push out since you can't really use leverage to force it out, but its just an idea I thought I'd throw out at you.

You could also try this little trick:
Take a little threadlock and put it in the grub screw hole. Take the normal size allen key and insert it in the hole. Let it dry for about a day, so it gets good and hard. Unscrew it! http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif It has worked for me in the past.

good idea! also, you can try puting a paper towel over the alen wrench to fill up the space between the screw and the wrench.

I have a friend who solders one of the L-shaoed POS allen wrenches in the stripped setscrew and then takes it out. It seems to work for him.
