t3 shocks

I have got a T3 sport and have been slowly changing parts (bearings and stuff)to make it a team/factory car.

How much better are the teflon coated shocks compared to the gold ones I have now? The people at the LHS say they are smoother but are they $30 smoother? Is it worth it?

If you're racing its worth the upgrade. Their smoothness makes them more predictible and gives better handing. If you just knock around it probably isn't.

would it work if i just bought the shock body and used the old stafts and then rebuild them?

Yes you could just buy the shock body and use all your old components and they would work just as well.
