On Memorial Day Weekend, Digger’s Dungeon in Poplar Branch, North Carolina was the home to the R/C Monster Jam World Finals. If Digger’s Dungeon sounds familiar to some of you, it’s because it’s home to Dennis Anderson and the Grave Digger Monster truck. There were 91 drivers and 214 trucks racing for three days. Qualifying was held on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning and side-by-side racing was wrapped up by the end of the day on Saturday. On Saturday morning all of the trucks were brought out for concourse Judging. There were a lot of great looking trucks to see. On Sunday morning, we saw a long jump competition and freestyle in the afternoon. I brought a scratch built monster truck that I (meaning Kevin Hetmanski, Matt posted this for me) designed and finished in third place out of 72 trucks. Not to bad! There were a lot of full-size monster trucks on display including several Grave Digger monster trucks, the full-size Traxxas T-Maxx monster truck, and the HPI Savage ride monster truck. HPI hooked up Dennis, Ryan, and Adam Anderson with trucks and they competed with all the racers over the weekend. Adam went home with the first place trophy in the Big Block class for side-by-side racing. Check out rcmonstermotorsports.com for more information and results. We’ll have a full write up in the mag soon.

OK, now I am curious. What is MF? Sorry to get off track, so you can PM if that would be better. Looks like a killer event though! Wish we had more stuff like this out here on the west coast! Ok, other than Cali!!!
