I have recently bought a brand new duratrax piranha power peak charger. And a new towerhobbies 1500 battery. When I charge, it will only trickle. It will not fast charge. The battery have no energy in it. The light will stay lit for 7 seconds. Than it will turn off for 7 seconds and than light up for another 7 seconds and continue the pattern. I have no idea what is wrong. If anyone can help me, please! :( :( :(

Does the charger have AC and DC inputs? Meaning, can the charger hook up to a wall outlet (AC) or a car battery (DC)? If it is, then I bet you are charging your battery inside. If so, try charging the battery on an automobile battery using the alligator clips. This provides a lot more voltage to the battery and seems to eliminate false peaks. Hope this helps!

Hmm, never had that kind of problem with my Piranha....well, if you can get ahold of another battery, try to charge it. If it works, could be the battery. Then you should try to have your battery charged by someone else...process of elimination should find the problem.

Just a suggestion: check to make sure that the plug polarity on the charger & batt are
right. A bad connector, or a bad cell might also do that.

Well, when the light blinks on and off it's in trickle mode. Just to make sure, double check that you have the 6 cells selected (or 7 if you have a 7 cell pack). Then hit the button. And come back and post what happens after you hit the button.

thanks for the help but I think its more of a defected charger. Ill ask my friend to come over and bring his battery pack but his is old and starting to short. If it doesn't work, ill try charging my battery on his old timed charger.

that only hapins to me if i run my batteries untill the car dosnt move. Just run them untill the car slows down, not stops. let it trickle for a couple hours and then try it.
