what brushes would work best for a d4 14t motor?

Try trinity's polarized brushes for the D3.5. They are serrated and one brush is copper compound and the other is silver compound. It gives you good preformance without killing your comm.

I just changed the brushes on my D4 to the D3.5 polarized and my motor HAULS, it stays alot cooler as well. If you do this i recommend you change spring tensions (heavier on positive side) I went with Purple trinity springs on the positive and Red on the negitive and it works very well for me.
Just remember:
Heavier tension=more power, less top-end. :)
Lighter tension=less power, more top-end. :(
