It is funny how your car survives some wrecks without a scratch and others your car does not come out to lucky. I have had crashes that were so graphic and violent that I have nightmares, and the car is Alright. And then I have had little bumps that cost me $10. About a week ago I lost all common sense and drove my car over a 7ft retaining wall and then tumbled, flipped, and cartwheeled down a steep hill. After the smoke had cleared, my car was fine.
About an hour ago I bumped a bush going about half speed and stripped a servo gear.

Can anyone else relate? Can anyone explain this strange phenomenon? I would love to hear your input and stories?

Everyone hates to crash but everyone loves to talk about them.

My gt got hit at the end of the stright while racing. I was broadside, I had thought the race was over, and them bang! I was thrown in the air about 3 feet! (My car, that is). Only thing that happened was a popped ball cup and my battery box was nocked loose. But it seems like all the time when I'm just running I strip a spur gear, and I don't even hit anything!

Last Saturday when I was racing, my steering trim was bad and I drove the whole qualifier constantly correcting to go straight. I must've cartwheeled my truck halfway down the straight two or three times and nothing happened, but later (while praticing) I was dumping and didn't make the double. It didn't look like anything out of the ordinary, but it broke a (RRP) titanium ball stud inside my front bulkhead. So I bought two new (Losi) titanium ball studs and had to disassemble the whole front end to put in my old non-graphite bulkhead. That took way too long. I think that fits the template...

my max st was having reciever problems, it would reciever the signal in and out. the first time it happend the car hit speed bump, flipped, landed on it's wheels and then hit the trunk of a tree pretty darn hard, just scratched it, then later that night i had the body off and i was trying to figure out what was wrong (this was before i knew). the car was sitting at my feet , it was responsive and idling fine, i gave it a little gas, and the thing went nuts, took off down the parking lot, took a turn hit a curb did about 4 flips and landed on it's top, two fins on the heat sink got snapped off and the steering servo got messed up.

I was drivin my B3 outside, and it hit some of the grass clumps that add up from plowing snow (all the snow is gone now....) but it flipped probably 7 times sideways, landed on its wheels and kept on going. A few days earlier i was at the track and was watching the other guys car flip, and mine hit a wall and it broke an A-Arm. Seems like the flips would have broke it too, but i guess not.

Youd should been there when my $800 T3 Factory team edition kicked the bucket-or so i though...here it is. Like most RC guys i am amazed by the realism of RC Cars...especialy when they are on ice. What appeared to be super thick ice was very tempting. I took my T3FT and put it on the super thick ice on my friends pool. I started driving around and amazingly the car had good traction...too good in fact because it ripped a hole in the ice. The rear right wheel went in. I was realy worried now. ::crack, creek:: I heard the soft cracking of ice. "Neal, get the F*** over here!!" i said to my friend...::slip, fwoosh!:: the ice around my cars end gave way...and the rear fell in. Now keep in mind this T3 costs $800...(not bragging, just makes the story more interesting). My car did an amazing recreation of the titanic...fortunetly the chassis didnt snap in half...everything else was pure titanic. I could hear my car "screaming" (or was it just the ESC?). The car went down under slowly as if to torment me. completly down under the pool water. And then! I saw the wheels pop up! but then they went back down under, and the truck lay on its back. I could see air bubbles coming from what was the ESC, servo, motor, and reciever. I thought surely it was fried...I was screaming my butt off this thing was expensive. Fortunetly 7 minutes later i got the car out with my friends help, and this thing was soaked..but amazingly clean! I dried it off and the such. Hours later I turned the car on and the ESC, Motor, and servo never worked better!! The receiver had better range, and the shocks worked very smoothly. Amazing...i was freaked out. NOTHING WAS BROKEN!! I thought for certain i would fry something.

**** Isky!! I don't think I can top that!!! (Note to self: Don't drive on ice.)*LMAO*
I used to have RC10GT that I raced all over campus in Toledo, OH and I would jump it up steep embankments, down stairs, jump over rail road tracks, etc. The thing was bullet proof. Then I slowly (no more than 5-7mph) bumped into the curb... popped off the steering link and broke the front axle. What the f--k?!?!? I think it's amazing all the crap we can dish out to these cars and then a simple little bump here or there sends'em to the garage. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

Well when I was driving my XXcr KE on the road my tires that are really old had come unglued in spots. I tried to do a power slide and the car flipped because the tires caught on the pavement. It rolled and rolled. I didn't have the body on and hopefully the shock towers would protect every thing. Nothing had broke to my suprise except a couple of scratches. Now about a week ago I was out side again and a twig was in the road. I figured it would be cool to run it over and break it. Well break it I did along with my A-Arm! A little twig with a diameter of a pen and the length of your arm!
