O.K. just got my HPI Denso Supra, TE27's chrome 6mm offset and head/tail light buckets.

BUT I have no idea for the paint? I am doing a DRIFT car, so do I stick to the "Denso theme" I was thinking Silver & Metallic Red or Mettalic Orange

Yeah, that would be cool to keep the Denso theme... but I think it would be fun to go with totally different colors... something wild like a bright blue where the red is and bright yellow where the white is.

If that's too crazy, paint the lower red panel and the nose in a royal blue, then leave the rest the same.

I have decided on a Teal& White. Teal where the red is and my company "BODYWERX" where the DENSO stickers are.

I did a quick photochop and it looks pretty good.
Then I have to mount the lights.

Excellent... and it'll look even better with all the stickers in their original colors instead of "teal for red."

I didn't want to start a new supra thread, so just replying to this one. Nothing special here, just a HPI 200mm Supra I did recently. Still need to clean it up a bit, but here are a few shots anyway.

Even a simple red pinstripe between the green and red areas would make it standout more. Maybe a subtle carbon fiber look on the hood using silver and white so it's only visble at certain angles?

just my .02

calvin3, only every once in a while. I still have a stock of bodies that I have to eventually get rid of, so I might as well paint them first :)
