Ya, man my parents got divorced too. I hate it, my dad was my best friend practically. We used to work on cars all day every day. I still go to his house like every weekend though. Glad that you don't mind it that much. I would hate getting beat up every day by my own blood.

i had the same problem, except it was my mom that was abusive. (weird, huh) long story short, they got divorced she moved to SC after she met some guy on the net and got the tables turned on her. now SHES with a severe a$$hole. i moved down there bout 4 years ago to give her a second chance, mend our relationship, and whatnot. and me being the stepson to this pompus ass, he thought he had the right to throw me around. my mother didnt believe me about it so i took it into my own hands, and got physical with him. months of that go by and i had enough. moved back to PA, and now have a very happy relationship with my fiance. my dad and i still talk a lot, hang out, jam out and stuff.

sorry, just wanted to tell how i relate, in a way. im glad she found someone great, everybody deserves that "special someone" hope all goes well for you all!

Yeah, im starting to get back off on the right foot now. I havent communicated with my dad in maybe 4 months, but I can tell you, I dont even notice hes gone. Its like everyone says, maybe the brain blocks out the bad. And Zepplin it is so unfortunate how many kids get beat I swear on my life my children will be spoiled rotten.

i agree with eli. i have 2 kids now, one is my fiances from a previous relationship and one is biologically mine. but in my heart and their hearts, they are both my sons. i dont spoil them, that would raise, well spoiled kids but i mos definatly dont beat them. trust me i know what that does to a child.

now if youll excuse me, i have to go put on my makeup.

just kidding, or am i?

Yeah, I understand what you guys are saying, I wouldnt go that far, I would spoil them only when they were good and I knew it wouldnt make them think they could get anything they want free. Because, life isnt free. lol

You'll have a blast over there at Disney. I went about 2 years ago with my cousins and aunt to go screw around, and I never had a dull moment. Ride Splash mountain, the indiana jones one, and AVOID It's a small world after all, else you're gonna have that song stuck in your head for years to come.

My favorite was the matterhorn. I'd say I'm sorry to hear about your folks breaking up, but you seem pretty happy about all this........

Sean,
this is great news. Anyone who suffers from any abuse needs to get it off their chest too, not let it build up. Depsite what people may think, the mental abuse never goes away, you just have to be stronger than it. Your mom is a strong person to break that chain, and to move on, let herknow how proud you are of her for leaving-its not as easy as some may think. Be proud with yourself too, to overcome this. Have a great time @ Disney, and keep us posted on your new found happiness.

MATTERHORN!! HAAHAH. Did you go on california Screamin?? Now that is a roller coaster!! Space mountain is awesome now that they have re-done it. My favorite rides out of both parks were California Screamin, Indiana Jones [just because of the bolder] Splash moutian [because we got stuck on the ride and had to get evacuated lol] and a few others. Oh and thanks for the heads up about small world, but its a little too late for that. lol.

And I'd just like to say thanks to everyone else who has given the kind words, Im pretty much back to my good ol' self now and am just enjoying life once again.

Go on the California screamin? Oh h*** no!!! I saw that elevator thing and about wet myself. I did like the Indiana jones ride because of the falling rock and the powerslide imitation, and I liked Splash mountain because of the water and my cousin looked like she hosed herself after she got off the ride. Everyone walking past us started laughing, and I'll keep bugging her about that until I die!!!! :p

LOL Dude you gotta go on all the big roller coasters!! I was scared as crap but after the first time going on screamin i was hooked! And you really should go on Tower of Terror its awesome when you get to the top, the big doors open and you can see EVERYTHING forever, then its all freefall from there!! lol.

I drug one of the kids onto top gun who was pooping his pants.. it was also my first time on that ride, and let me tell you, it was the greatest ever. There is this part where you come down literally feet above this pond, it is awesome! and so are all the loops and twists.

Oh and the kid who was scared crapless of rollercoasters went on a rampage afterwards and went on every roller coaster there!!! So just try one, ONE big roller coaster vader you'll love them.

Bad news... my mom and her awesome new boyfriend are splitting up.. right when things were getting good too...
