why do they have to make an ESC with motor limit???

im just wondering why the manufacturer have to make an ESC with motor limit. why cant they just make all ESC without motor limit. do they have a difference in terms of performance? let say an ESC with 13turn motor limit versus ESC without motor limit. any difference in performance? just wanna know. :) :D ;)

they no motor limit esc are more expensive to make becuase of more fets and more other very technical things
