I need Help....PLEASE!

I need to know what kind f speed i should expect from my T3 with a stocker. I normally run mild mods and am used to the AWESOME speed+torque they produce. I notice that my friends E-Pede with a P2k seems to go faster than my T3 with a Gm3. I have tried gearing it up but all that seems then I cant bear the SLOW acelleration. His E-pede I geared 18-87 and i was geared 19-81. I thought it might be the bigger tires bur his also accellerates very nicely. I am stumped and need help. Where i race i seem to be REALLY fast compard to other stadium trucks, its strange, i need help im being beat by a TRAXXAS!!! :eek: LOL!

T3 Racer,

19/81 is a little tall for a GM3. When geared that way you will have lots of top end and very little torque/acceleration. Your GM3 is also running very hot and wearing your comm heavily (may also contribute to your motor being slow).

If you want to stick with that 81 tooth spur gear, you may want to gear down to an 18 or 17 pinion.

The P2K your friend is running has much more torque than your GM3 and will probably beat you off the line.

If you are racing your friend on a tight track, you may want to run a P2K or gear your GM3 down really low. If you're racing your friend on a long track or a parking lot, your GM3 may loose off the line, but you should be able to catch him.

In the conditions I race in, I find no use for a GM3. I only run P2Ks and MVPs. My track is too tight. I now use my GM3 to run my lathe as I have no need for it otherwise.
