Hi All

Anyone got one of these and have it running nice. Just wondered what settings you used for the carb. How many turns out on both needles. I am having trouble tunning it and don't want to damage it buy turning the adgustment scews toi far in. The HSN is at about two turns and it just keeps bogging down. It picks up well initially but then quickly dies it's using **** loads of fuel so I am thinking it's still the LSN and the reason it dies because the engine gets a sudden blast of fuel below half throttle.

Any ideas?
Regards Adam :)

Depending on the age of the engine, you may have a crappy set of O-Rings. Pull the main needle out of the housing and look at the o-rings. If they have tears/cuts anywhere, replace them all (low end needle as well). Get yourself some Associated Green Slime to put on the o-rings when you re-assemble it as well. Then set the needles to the factory specs and see how it goes.
If you want to try just tuning it, lean the LSN a bit and richen the top end until it will keep going. If you're losing power on top end, it's a good sign that your top end needle is too lean.
The top post on the nitro forum is a tuning guide that Apollo and I worked on. I also posted a nifty FAQ there that you might look through also.
Lastly, you can't really damage the needles by "adjusting them in too far" unless you tighten them down. They'll just stop turning. Once they stop turning, you're WAY too lean (no fuel at all).
