Vantage Racing Jato Carbon Fiber Chassis

This carbon fiber chassis for the Traxxas Jato 2.5/3.3 is one of the most awesome upgrades you can install on your truck. It’s not just cool-looking, it’s functional too. The chassis is 3.5mm thick and every bit as rigid as the stock aluminum chassis. The chassis is molded into a tub shape, which means that the stock molded mud guards are not required. A CNC machined engine plate is included to provide heat dissipation and extra strength. The chassis also includes steel machine screws to mount the engine and transmission.

Call me a hater... but molded in mud guards? The mud guards are one of my favorite parts, cause I can take them off and get to most of the major components during a race day for quick bell and spur swaps, etc. Molding them in will make it much harder. I wouldn't mind if Vantage came out with some carbon mud guards for my 7075 chassis, but this definitely isn't on my list. Sorry. How about an updated upper deck for the guys who want to move their tank back. Save me the time and trouble of fabbing my own or drilling on my 50 dollar chassis.

yep... remove the mudguards and its a good buy (or at least make them removable). i'd be first in line when you do that but for now? i can't see touching it. all i see is headaches as it is. btw, does this thing save any weight over the titanium chassis upgrade? come on... gimme a reason to buy the thing!

I keep having the problem of bending my chassis when hitting something and the alignment goes out of place, and sometimes broken the upper deck. I can see the advantage of the mud guard there for strengthening the bottom chassis and without worries about breaking the top deck.

Please note that the image has been fixed. We inadvertently had the motor mount wrong side up.
