New ESC

Im the 200th new topic! Anyway before I get beat to it, I need a new ESC. It has to handle HOT modifieds in dual form and hold minimum or 14 cells. This is going to be for my project "E-Maxx don't laxx"-pretty stupid name huh? Its technically "project E-Maxx" I'm hoping to put a 13-14+ turn mod motors and 2,7 cell batteries, I really need your help. Thanks, JP

JP - I would suggest a Novak Super Rooster. I've used this speed control in dual motor applications and found it to be very capable of handling the power requirements.

I use the Novak Super Rooster with my Rustler and my Villian (traxxas boat). I have twin speedgems 17t single motors on the boat and it handles them just wonderfull. Works great on the rustler too....

I'd go with the Super Rooster as well, I have it in my Rustler, with a D4 12t and it works great. I'd stay away from the Tekin though, me and my friends have been having a lot of problems with them.

Hmmmm, I dont know about the dual motor application but it probably can, the Tekin 420 is what is used in the drag cars and can handle any mod(again dont know about dual) and up to 20 cells!!!! in the 99 Dec. issue, ithink it was greg that used it in his "Cheap Speed" the bolink econorail. got doing 67 mph i believe. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/eek.gif

I would go Tekin. I've never had a problem with a Tekin that wasen't my fault. I'm prolly just a bit of a loyalist. Just like I can't buy Losi, just Associated.

OK I got my opinion from Steve a long time ago, and I already have a Super Rooster-which i'll use unless the E-Maxx's ESC is better. Also, I have a Tekin G-10 and have had NO problems, infact its better than Novak, but they discontinued the model I wanted. Besides, the Super Rooster can only hold 10 cells, so I am going to have to wire it in paralell form. Also, it CAN hold and dual motor application.
