I did that a LOT, driving in snow. Use the original 540 20 turn stock motor. I have fried a HOT D3 and a good stock motor. Baloon the receiver and the ESC.

You should put thumbtacks in your wheel, but make sure you glue them there. I did it with my Z10 and built an ice course, it worked pretty decently.

sand paw tires or if the snow what like a softly frozen surface on top then powder in the middle, dirt hawg mostly, but sand paws work best in powder snow. Don't use the thumb tack idea-dont get me wrong, its great but you cant drive on the street, you can only drive on ice, and cant take any jumps.

I just used some good CA glue, and no they wont fly off. The tires wont be good for snow unless it is hard-packed, but should work good on medium packed dirt. Oh, and they drive decently on the street, but you cant gun it right away, slow acelleration. I wouldn't do this for too long though.

They're most likely going to be too long, try finding some short wood screws.

Actually, on my rustler I prefer to drive some stampede stock tires, i have sand paws, but htey dig iin too much, the Stamps tires work great because they are wide and flat, throw really good roosts, adn they tend to 'Float' on the snow, they paddles jsut dig in to much, I live in SLC Utah and we get tons of snow, it did up in the mountains by me alst night(Cant wait to go skiing!!!!!!)

I ran my stampede in the snow 2 seasons in a row without motor problems. I used the tube that my Midnight 2 Pro came in and cut holes just big enough to get the connector through. No problem. To cover my Rebel speedo I used a windsheild from an old Construx toy kit with the snap toghether peices and used hockey stick tape to cover the sides. I also covered the servo with tape.
