I bought the car used with a motor, tekin tsc p-12, and radio. The first 3 times I used it it worked fine. Now whenever I use it it works fine for a minute or two and than it just stops. Sometimes the steering works but when I pull the trigger it doesnt move. When this happens the light on the ESC goes out, when it comes back on I pull the trigger again and it goes out. When I move the plastic plugs that connect the battery to the ESC the truck sometimes starts moving on its own or the light comes on. This doesnt happen 1-2 minutes into using the truck. Could it be the brushes? What would they look like if they were worn out, I am new to this hobby. Thanks for any help in advance.

Well it sounds to me like a battery problem or ESC prob. I suggest taking it to ur LHS and have them help u out and teach u how to use it better. Cya

You definatly have a bad connect in either the battery or esc. take it to the LKS and get it checked

Is the battery connector supposed to get hot at all when its connected to the esc?

If it's the stock tamiya type plastic connector, it will get hot... if something is loose in the chain (as suggested above)there it will get really hot.. changing to a better connector is a good first step that will eliminate all problems in that area.. your lhs (again) would be able to help you with this, it's not overly complicated..

i have had the problem, but i know it was the wires to the motor, doesn't sound like brushes, but it sounds like the esc or wires, like they said, go to the lhs or ask a racer.

good luck in the future! :)
