LRP A.i. Brushless Reverse and
LRP A.i. Brushless Pro Reverse
The time has come for a revolution in the R/C car market: brushless for everyone!
With the A.i. Automatic Brushless digital speed controls, LRP presents the
first-ever sports-level brushless line. Since the success of the original SPHERE
speed control in 2005, LRP has been setting benchmarks in car brushless technology.
Now LRP adapted this winning sensor brushless technology into a sports-level
Brushless + Brushed system which will turn the R/C market upside down. The LRP
brushless technology combines the two main features all R/C car drivers are seeking:
Maximum power AND virtually no maintenance! The highlight: Very competitive pricing!
Now everybody can enjoy the LRP brushless advantage!

Why did LRP have ruin their new budget BL systems by using AI "technology?"

LRP makes great stuff...but I'd seriously rather have a mechanical speed control than anything from LRP's AI series.

so the sport model will basically only run stock equivelant or slower? doesn't offer any room to grow.. yet it will run a 10 turn mod brushed? weird

I hate the AI controllers. The system just doesn't work at all with some radios.

Does "works with Lipo" mean it has a LiPo cutoff?

I like that it's waterproof.

the AI and reverse completely ruin it.

I would hope so, ya know? Or else, everyone is going to start putting "works with lipo" on their stuff...

Me: "Does it have a cutoff for lipos?"
LHS guy: "It 'works with lipos'."
Me: "You didn't answer my question though."
LHS guy: "Sure I did.....it......'works with lipos'."
Me: ".....Does my cat have an LVC?"
LHS guy: "Does it have a sticker that says 'works with lipos'?"

And the saga continues!

LOL you're so right Electric Thunder. That's what I'm afraid of! :)

I had a top-of-the line AI PRO go poof on the very first run after a rev to fwd move! (11 turn) My LRP F1 Bullet has worked flawlessly for 10 years! Sorry, but anything with AI on it wont be on my wishlist.

Nope.... Sensor wire plug.

Wow, so many "endorsements" for A.I technology. I guess I will put off getting one of these.

I like the 3A BEC, and the high current ratings but the Novak XBR handles (or claims to handle) hotter brushless winds (8.5 turns and above), and is more programmable and slightly smaller as well (although still very chunky).

Sounds like you had a schottky diode on the motor? That will kill a forward/reverse speedo in about 2 seconds....

i like the motor..but esc...........

esc looks biiiiig

and i hate senser line...(i like sensorless...)

Negative

If he had a schottky diode on a reversing ESC, it would have gone bad the moment he reversed and not when he went forward.
