im starting to like those baja's but they seem sluggish :s

None of those Bajas were tuned the same, one was really slow because it was too rich, one sounded too lean and the other one seemed fine.

I hate when you hear people running their RCs and they just burp the throttle, it's annoying, you don't get your real car moving by doing that to the throttle, so why do it with an RC?

Actually, the Bajas pretty much never need tuning for the most part unlike Nitro's. The quieter/slower Baja had the stock muffer with the stinger removed. The louder/faster Baja had a tuned $180 pipe on it.

R/C cars vs real life cars. Big difference man so I dunno what your trying to get at. Most people "burp" throttles on R/C to either

A. Clear excess gas buildup from idle to prevent stalling
B. Peeling out
C. Cause they can, want to and sounds cool, especially if you have a Baja.

They still should be tuned, they still have a needle that varies the mixture. But its definitely not like a nitro where you need to be VERY careful with the tune. But ya it annoyed me how they drove on and off the throttle it sounded like they were ttrying to pretend to shift :p

Sooo..what, you drive your R/C on either WOT or idle, never in between?

With what is the real question.

Nice vid..... But i also do like the blipping the throttle thing,,, its like... WHy can you be smooth?

Its like as if they were driving with a button not a trigger....

Instead of blipping, just accelerate 1/4 or 1/2 of the way to move...

Some people have an inability to pull the throttle 1/2 way. They are the "throttle blippers"
It's an easy way to tell a n00b ... especially at a race track ;)

icewind.. nice video... so you may be getting one someday? You won't regret it... the slower baja def was running too rich, the faster one seemed more on the pipe... looking at that hill and jump, it seemed they were holding back a bit, not wanting to over jump the hill... whoever was driving that savage.. very impressive.. loved the backflips and sticking the landing... love my baja and its def much faster than those two, but hard to tell in the video if the faster one was full throttle or not... also, paddle tires would help alot in that pit... wheelspin doesn't help acceleration...

Mine with the paddles on it wil do wheelstands in the dirt... most of the faster baja's will...

lol ye it's like they only know 2 speeds, full WOT, Idle / brake. Sometimes I'll blip the throttle 2-3 times if I'm just warming up the engine or if I am trying to pull a wheelie but not throughout the whole time I'm bashing around, I'm sure it's not helping the engine by blipping (lol sorry for calling it "burping" but it's funny it caught on) it.

All the Bajas had paddle wheels on them.

Lol, well I think i'll blip the throttle just to piss you off, distract you, cause you to crash and then I win the race. Noobwned! :D

no, what i mean is the guy wasn't steady on the throttle, he was on and off toooooo much.

you blip the throttle to control traction, and its easier on the clutch shoes..

Icewind... thanks.. couldn't tell from the vid... on the Baja, blipping throttle doesn't hurt anything.. just anoying to some... I do that with nitro's just to clear them out as I'm sure others do... just a habbit that carries over to gassers...
