What important hop-ups should i get for my HPI RS4 Sport 2?

There are mant parts that are just for cosmetics - but that's not all bad. As far as making you car "better," I would suggest the stronger Kevlar belts, a side belt tensioner if it doesn't already have one (I don't remember) and a stronger engine. A two-speed helps if you objective is higher speed (or a single-speed clutch bell with more teeth if you don't want the spend the bucks on a two-speed).

Um I think SteveP thought you said RS4 Nitro 2. You meant the electric sport 2 right?

If so I'd say bearings if it doesn't have them, and front universals, motor heat sink, and better tires, and possibly some titanium turnbuckles if you feel the need.

Otherwise the car isn't too bad out of the box.

I usually use stuff stock unitl it breaks then slowly upgrade all the parts as needed.

YEah i have the sport 2, the car comes with high quality bearings but i have noticed the motor get extremely hot and burns your finger the instant you touch it. I think ill go for the heatsink then the turnbuckles or cvd's Thanx for the input.

What motor and gearing are you running?

Also is everything in the car spinning freely?

The motor shouldn't be getting that hot.

yes everthing is running freely my gearing is 84 tooth spur and 28 tooth pinion and the gerar ratio is exactly 3:1.
i tore the car down a few days ago for a rebuikd and everything spun nice and freely
about the belts ive had the originals in since i got the car about 5 months ago and i havent run it much but the belt already wore out. is there a stronger belt to buy? is this a normal wearing time?
