Help!!

i have a rc18b with the sp-19 motor and stock battery
i run it and it gets so hot i got 2nd degree burns when i touched it
the solder holding to wire onto the motor melted and i think there is a problem
the battery is hot to
please help

check for binding.. and go smaller on the pinion at least three teeth..

take the motor out and see if the drive train spins free..
then reinstall the motor with a smaller pinion.. if the drivetrain is free.

and then set the correct gear mesh

You may have just made the gear mesh too tight.
Didnt you just change the pinion?

ok I already told you how to find the correct gearing so I wont tell you again. You are VERY overgeared. go down AT LEAST 3 teeth on the pinion as chewie said, and go from there.

if the tranny is binding.. goin down in teeth will help but its not the problem..
