Hello everyone,

I'm new to the hobby, and have recently built a Tamiya Rising Storm. I love the car and am having a blast driving it around.

I'm now looking to upgrade the car or perhaps look to another vehicle.

Any recommendations on car upgrades? I'm definitely looking at the suspension, but would like some pointers in this area, and of course I'd like the car to go faster, so any pointers in this area would be helpful!

I'm thinking a stadium truck, but would like to keep the costs low ($200).

Does anyone have any recommendations? If possible, I'd like to stick with 4WD, but the biggest thing is I want a vehicle that is upgradable.

Please let me know your thoughts.

look in the off road electric forum down the page, its listed under Gravel Hound DF 02 forum, rising storm is the second body on this chassis but all parts and tips are applicable, 120 pages of good info so pack a lunch or just ask if you can't find something, if you are trying to race you will definetely need to upgrade the car, this is a basher not a racer, nearly twice the weight of real race buggies you will never stand a chance with this car, you can get nearly everything for these cars in aluminum on ebay or from Dinball rc, cvds are available and even a locking rear differential spool if you want, tt01 ball diffs and front one way will also work in these cars. Not really any electric 4wd stadium trucks anymore, most people are converting nitro trucks to electric, see the AWD 10th stadium truck in this forum, hpi mt2 is what I am going to do, $300 from tower, sell the nitro motor, pipe and gas tank for $100 and its a $200 rig. It can be upgraded to all aluminum if you want the bling factor or bash hard.
