i have had my tc3 for about a year now, and my two friends just got racer kits, the only thing they did to them, was brp bumpers and everything, i had gotten a team kit, however since i have updated to the plastic outdrives like they have, and also composite drives.

the only main difference is that i have a graphite chassis.

however, i have 1/2 the steering they do, i have driven their cars, and its amazing the difference. i have no clue what it is, i just replaced the hubs since there was some slack.

i have tried different tires, and currently run the same as they do too.

i run a futaba 9204 (i think, or other way around, anyway its $100 and is very fast) one of them runs a stock servo, and the other a 605 hitec, both have more steering, and i mean alot.

same springs and postions all the same.

i have a futaba cheapo bottom of the line magnum (new version) one of them has a hitec lynx and the other a airtronics 2 channel fm (cant remeber name, but the one with all of the adjustments in dials) and i dont have a dual rate so i have no clue. however i have changed to the lynx (then i dropped it and broke it) so now i am back to the futaba and the lynx oddly had a little more steering.

could anyone tell me what the problem is? i honestly have no clue. as for shocks (incase this helps:
-30wt back and front
-gold in back, silvers in front (figure it might help, nothing).

the only difference is that i have a graphite chassis, however i only run in my driveway with them, and there isnt any straight longer then 20ft, and its all low speed stuff.

could some one clue me into what i am doing wrong here? thanks!

Check the rate selector on the transmitter. Make sure everything is smooth on the bell cranks. Also, was it always doing this?

the problem is that since its a bottom of the line tx, it lacks and dual rate or end point adjustments.

and to be quite honest, i didnt really realize it until i drove my friends cars. i also had a one way in it since i built it then took it out about a month before i drove my friends cars.

and i dont think anything is rubbing, since i moved the steering with my hand.

Well, it sounds to me that the TX is the problem, you really do need those adjustments to get full steering throw in both directions. I know it may get costly for you, but I think that's really your best option.... :)

makes sense, they sorta set it at a happy meduim. but that means i will be off to buy a good one then.

Is the car understeering or does it just not turn enough? There is a difference. What shock pistons do you all run? Does your steering rack support a full range of motion in both directions? Dual rate only referrs to the speed of transition, not the end points. I would guess radio is your problem, but you CAN set the car up to react as you like with your radio.

maybe your servo is broken or something?
