Traxxas Rad 2? What is it? Is the Traxxas Radicator back? I was on Tower Hobbies and I was looking under RTR electric cars when i saw "Rad 2". Is it going to be a racing buggy like the TCP was or is it going to be a sport buggy like the Bandit?

Here's a picture someone sent me of one. I have one but mine has fiberglass shock towers and a newer style tranny with a slipper.

I thought they already had a Rad 2 before the Bandit came out. I could be wrong, but I'll look it up in some of my back issues when I get the chance.

The Rad 2 was the second generation of the Radicator. I had one back about 93-94. It was a very durable buggy. I went through and put about every hopup known from Traxxas on it and had basically tuned it into a TRX1. They have been discontinued for a few years now.

I have one in mint condition. It's still in the box and only 90% assembled. I have to install the servo mounts and steering. The instruction manual says 1989 so I'm guessing that's when it came out. It came with an MSC much like the modern Traxxas ones.
