All done with this one... If you missed the other thread, here's what I started with... She was a mess, but for how cheap I got it, I wasn't complaining:

Here's how she looks today:

Ended up ditching the MSC and the neat-o old servo because they were giving me issues. Now the ESC seems to have a mind of its own as well. And it smokes. I've never had an ESC smoke like this and still work lol, but hey... Run it til it breaks right?! It sounds like something is trying to strip out on me in the tranny after the first good run. Not to worry... I have so many spare parts for this thing that it doesn't even matter... :

Could probably open up a small hobby shop lol! So I'm not too worried about breaking things with my life time supply of parts.

Overall, she runs pretty darn well for just a silver can Johnson motor powered buggy. The ride is rough, so I need to soften it up a bit some how. Other than that, it's certainly a neat old buggy!

Thanks for looking!

Thanks guys! It was a big mess when I got it as you could see... But the price was right...

z-man: If I get another Bullet... I'll probably keep that one too! Those are neat buggies, that's for sure! :)

Yeah... I suppose if I ever get another, I'll let you know. I really don't need two... I'm always on the watch for deals and projects to fix up. I just got my hands on a Bullet body for ours. It was in sad shape, but it looks pretty good after all of the time I put into bringing it back to life. All I need now is the rear sway bar and I'm pretty sure I have every part that used to come on the Bullet.

Is there supposed to be a bigger heat sink stuck on that ESC? Maybe it doesn't fit under the body...

Yeah... it's probably not the ESC itself that's smoking... it's the driver's flameproof underwear, 'cause it looks like he's sitting right on it.
:D

Yeah... The ESC does have larger heatsinks, but I only have the large red ones... They don't fit under there... I'm wondering when it's going to quit!

Get your Dremel and make that area where the driver is ONE BIG AIR VENT.
:D

Glue him on the roof if you absolutely gotta have a driver.

Nah... I'm not taking the driver guy off... I have a new ESC coming for it anyway.

Looks great! I like the look of 2.2 pins and keeping the front "ribs".:D Looks like the dragster from hell.

Yeah... That'll be the basher setup. I'll have to get some pictures with the show tires, which are the stock front and rear wheels, new front ribs, and some Pro-Line vintage lugs on the rear. They're very similar to the stock Cat rear tires. The person who sold me all of those Cat parts threw them in along with their neat-o vintage boxes! Cool stuff...
