View Full Version : Finished building my new savage, you like this body?

I bought a used savage from the classifieds a few weeks ago and when I got it yesterday I ended up having to a ground up rebuild. I stopped by HT to buy some parts and saw this body while I was there. I decided to get it and when I was finished painting and detail, this is how it turned out.

Also, are the original revo talons from the 2.5r revo the proper offset wheel & tire to fit without rubbing or issues? I've seen maxx wheels on the savages, but those are higher offset.

Look closer, there's actually 2 of them (and an IS300, and a CLK430).

Did you even use window masks? lol
It actually is kinda neat. You're lazy though. Try harder next time :)
Good sticker placement and color choice though.

Why do I need to see in (or out) of an RC body? It comes with window masks for the outside (as you can see) therefore it only saves me from masking off windows that don't need to be there in the first place, which I am sure I will cut up anyway for airflow after a few runs.

I like to cut my side rear (extended cab area) windows to open suicide style and form air rams. I've done it on all my nitro's and had great results. Keeps me from having to drill the front window or cut a huge hole. I am trying to figure out a way to hang my Venom FS off the roll bar and through the back window, so that will be cut also. I am just trying to figure how to close the 1.2 inch gap between the rear window and the FS.
