Well, i just bought a Dynamite 2000 saddle pack for 30 bucks, and i had to put holes in the plastic thing on the battery so the battery holder for the XX4 would hold it...is that okay? would it interfere?

No that wont be a prblem at all. None of my saddle pack batteries have shrink wrap on them. As the shrink wrap fouls up the rear belt.. Just make sure the two sides of the batteries dont touch each other... thats not good :D

The shrink wrap is there to help protect the cells from shorting out and debris. Also it helps them stay "in-line". If you don't "need" to take it off then don't. But if it fouls your belts or otherwise hinders proper installation then it shouldn't hurt anything if you remove it.
