I can get a great deal on the Duratrax Intellipeak Pulse Charger. My only concern is that the 4200 NIMH pack (SMC IB4200 6-Cell 4200mAh NiMH Stick Pack) is supose to be charged at 6 amps. That charger can only do 3 amps. Will this work? if not any other recomendations?

It'll work. Just don't do it over 3 amps. You WILL do damage to the batteries. My intelli(false)peak digital actually nuked a 3000 at 6A, and it was rated for it. I don't think these chargers are actually NiMH safe. But what can we do about it? They seem to work at low amp rates, but if you crank it up at all, they will do damage to the pack.
If you're not willing to get a better charger at the moment, you're best off just charging at 3.0A or less. It won't hurt the pack. You just won't get as much punch out of it as you could.

I got a similar charger. It is not safe to charge at 6 amps. Check out my thread. In the electrics part. Called " I don't this this is right" I'm using the same batteries as well.
