ESC question i know noting about electic.

My brother got a bunch of old r/c kits and odds and ends and i needed an esc for a nitro project anyways there is a brand new well looks brand new ESC its a Novak it doesnt say a specific name it says Megagafet ESC 4-10 cell. i was taking all this rc stuff in the house and i must of droped the esc its raining by me it was out in the rain for 10 minutes i dried it off the best i can is it shot now? thats my first question second is im running a slot car motor and i want the power supply to be a 9 volt is this going to screw up the esc?

First why do you need an esc for a nitro car? The esc does what a servo and carb would do for nitro engines. And if there wasn't any power going to the ESC when it got wet it should be fine. Give it a nice LONG time to dry out.
As far as which one it is a pic would really help there. But if it has five cooling fins to the left of the three wires then an orange fin then three more fins inline with the wires, a orange dial at the middle left with the letter CL amps above it a black dot/cover with the letter N below it in the bottom left corner then another black dot/cover in the bottom middle with a LED light in the far lowwer right corner and the words 410-HPc below the three seperat fins then that would be the 410-HPc. I know that I gave a long and probably confusing description but it is the best I could do without a pic for mine or yours.
I would go to www.teamnovak.com (http://www.teamnovak.com) and see if you could find a pic of your ESC there.

my wires looke better then that but one of the wires looks cut here ill explain the wiring order and see if you can tell me which wire goes to what.

ok first there is 4 wires coming out the back with a big gauge wire. i think one goes to the battery the other goes to motor but which to which?? the colors are first conector red blue, second Red Black (+ -)?
ok those wires are all fine next below those wires is a red and black wire micro switch then theres a wire that goes into the throtle postiton of the recieve but this is where the pronlem is thers a single small 1 inch wire that looks like it was cut maybe? it looks to be hollow it looks like a reciever antena wire i have no idea what it would go to? in that picture off ebay it looks as though they dont have this wire. thanks for your help the reason i needed a ESC was for a super charger im making for 2 strokes insted of running the impeller off a belt i chose a slot car motor and the esc will control the boost of the super charger. if you want more details i have some post on the nitro forum.

dont worry about the small wire i belive it was blue or somthing like that.. but anyway it was used to give extra power to FET. servos i belive it isnt anything that you really need to operate the SC.

in this bundle of stuff i also got a tekin its in need of repair i just opend the case the 3 wires that go to the trotle servo the red and black melted together it looks like theres a tan egg shaped capicitor its all melted and that i think melted the black and red wire the capicitor is toasted. whats tekin's site? i wonder if they can refurbish it.
