View Full Version : Will MIP Aluminum CVD's fit in XXX-T Spec?
Well its just that...my friend ordered a pair of aluminum CVD's yesterday, but he still has the universals in his car. Thats a problem since the xxx-t spec doesnt have any slots in the outdrives...does the aluminum cvd kit come with outdrives, or will my friend need to order new outdrives? Dont worry its not me, i am a not-so-proud owner of a T3FT...help me out here though, hes the only one ive got to race, and if hes sidelined, theres no fun...

I do not believe they will, he will need to pick up some outdrives, they run for 7 dollars/outdrive

Yep, my Spec truck still as the plastic dog bones. LHS said I will need to order outdrives separately when I upgrade to CVD's.

I'll restate it, too. You're right, the plastic slider shaft setup won't accept CVDs or regular Losi universals. All he needs is new outdrives, but he'll have to rebuild his diff to install them.
