Does anyone know if there are any video clips of the Mini z running? I would like to see one run before buying .I DO NOT WANT A DOG! BRP has a vid of their 1/18 scale car but they are a little to big for our available area.

i could not get it run on my comp, but maybe you can. they used to have a video that i have seen, they were pretty cool. i hope they come up with an offroad version of the mini that uses rechargable battery packs.

jboyce13,
I can't get in there either, 1/24 offroad would be great indoor action, jumps, woops ect during the icy months

if you have the room to run larger cars, run larger cars. they are pretty expensive for their size, i bought one back last march i think, when they first came out. i broke the servo's gears on the first day, i sent it back due to lack of parts.
the canned heats, are pretty good, they are$20 however they are non portonal, which is kinda ***** , but they require half the space to run them in. and you can also upgrade their motors and alot of stuff. like change wheels.. however its been found, that they are not all equal, and some are made with different parts, its a gamble when you get them.
but a mini requires over 20x20 feet to make a okay course, and thats mean maybe a chicane, a straight and a sweeper, THATS IT. a better alernitive is a brp 1/18 which you can get off ebay, and stick in normal radio gear and a normal esc, but you use AA batts, and they go rather fast, like 18ish, and thats a much better soluion for running in lets say yourdriveway, but for garage running a miniz would be ideal.
and one more thing, them miniz, it goes on direction when you accelerate, and the oppose when you brake, it has something to do with the diff, the ball one, costs $50 though, but its sorta worth it.

We have 1/10 and 1/8 gas and electric gear, just looking for something to run indoors during the winter, the snow is up to your knee's up here . We have an area at my shop about 12x20 thats clear, kind of small for 1/10 ! We have a couple of Canned Heats that have been moded to the max, but the steering stinks, they are way to fast for non proportional steering and slowing them down is no fun . The BRP cars look a little to big, Do the Mini z's haul or what?

they are good for something that size. they have pretty good speed, they do traction roll sometimes.
but the lanes need to be wider and larger for these things. i would say you would need at least 1.5-2 foot wide lanes. but i think you will be very happy with em.
